Julien Bois

Vice President, Client Engagement

Julien Bois is often the first point of contact for prospective clients at Staffing Advisors. Before joining our team in 2024, he led global talent acquisition and employer branding at PhRMA, overseeing full cycle recruiting across North America, Asia, and the Middle East. That experience showed him exactly what leaders need from a partner: honest insight into market realities and a process that reliably delivers candidates who can actually drive progress on key initiatives. Julien works with C-suite leaders and boards to clarify hiring priorities, surface potential risks, and align on the right strategy before a search begins.

A dual citizen of France and the US, Julien was appointed a French Foreign Trade Advisor in 2019 and is a former board chair and active committee member at FAR, where he helps convene executive leaders across the nonprofit and association sectors.

Bob Corlett

A former systems analyst and business process engineer with 30 years of executive recruiting experience, Bob Corlett founded Staffing Advisors to bring a more transparent, outcomes-driven approach to an industry long known for inefficiency and lack of accountability. Drawing on research in behavioral economics and performance management, he created Results-Based Hiring®—an inclusive, competency-driven framework that, for more than 20 years, has helped the nation’s leading mission-driven organizations build high-performing teams.

Bob specializes in guiding boards through the high-stakes work of CEO hiring and succession planning and is the strategic mind behind our 100% retention rate for association CEO placements and near-perfect record for nonprofit executive director hires. A hands-on leader, he remains deeply involved in every client partnership and is a frequent speaker and contributor on topics including AI in hiring, inclusive hiring practices, and CEO succession and transitions.

Aileen Hedden

Vice President, Executive Search

A vital member of our strategic executive search team for almost two decades, Aileen Hedden has led the firm’s recruiting and talent strategy for many of Washington’s leading associations and nonprofits. Aileen is the architect behind our most complex searches, advising hiring teams on search strategy, market analysis, and how to align internal stakeholders around key decisions. Clients value Aileen’s practical insights, direct approach, and ability to bring even the most challenging or unique searches to a successful close. Having completed hundreds of senior staff searches across functional areas and sectors, she offers a nuanced understanding of how market realities, organizational structure, and team dynamics shape results.

Within the firm, Aileen is both a mentor and collaborator, helping to refine processes, shape deliverables, and ensure consistency and quality across every client partnership. She co-develops many of the firm’s client support tools and candidate resources, translating real-world lessons into actionable strategies that work.

Lilly Khan, CIR, CSSR

A member of our strategic executive search team since 2021, Lilly Khan is an AIRS-certified recruitment specialist with 10 years of experience in both the private and public sectors in the Washington, DC area. She leads executive searches across all functional areas and career levels, specializing in helping clients identify gaps between the job as written and the talent they truly need. Clients value her research-based guidance on job design and org structure, which helps create clarity and alignment with strategic goals. Known for her attentive and transparent approach with candidates, Lilly ensures everyone has a well-informed experience, while protecting the client’s employer brand at every step.

Internally, Lilly is our go-to resource for in-depth role analysis, combining critical thinking with advanced research techniques and AI tools to uncover innovative solutions to complex hiring challenges. She also co-develops many of the firm’s client support tools and candidate resources, translating real-world lessons into actionable strategies that work.

Kim Kistner

Vice President, Strategic Recruiting

Kim Kistner is the senior leader of our market research and analysis team. For more than 13 years, she has powered the research strategy and sourcing intelligence behind Staffing Advisors’ Results-Based Hiring® process. Every search (even for longstanding clients or in high-demand functional areas) begins with a fresh, data-driven sourcing strategy tailored to the role, the current market, and the hiring organization’s unique context. She reviews tens of thousands of profiles each year, giving her deep insight into career progression, transferable skills, and the broader talent landscape. By mapping the full market for each role, rather than drawing from a pre-existing pipeline, Kim helps clients consider both the leaders they know and equally strong candidates they would not otherwise reach. Her experience spans both corporate and agency recruiting, including leadership roles at Booz Allen and Randstad.

Erin Lewis

Director, Brand & Communications

A member of our operations team since 2022, Erin Lewis partners with the firm’s president and senior leaders to shape market-facing communications for each search. Drawing on more than a decade of experience in content strategy for nonprofits and education, she crafts high-impact recruiting messages that reflect each client’s values and priorities within a narrative framework designed to attract the right candidates. She also turns the insights of our executive search team into decision-support tools for clients and career development resources for candidates.

Internally, she leads the firm’s communications strategy to promote the awareness and adoption of competency-driven hiring practices more broadly across the nonprofit and association sectors. She also strengthens operational capacity through the ethical use of AI, streamlining data synthesis and content delivery to reduce turnaround times.

Brooke Lockhart

Vice President, Operations & Strategy

Brooke Lockhart is the senior leader of our operations team. With a background in supply chain operations at a Fortune 500 company, she brings the same precision and efficiency to every client engagement, leading her team to ensure clients experience a responsive, well-run process from day one. On CEO searches, Brooke partners closely with our firm’s president, managing the preparation and complex logistics of search committee meetings, tracking action items and follow-up, and ensuring every interaction supports equitable, evidence-based hiring decisions.

Behind the scenes, Brooke oversees strategic operational functions across the firm. She leads vendor partnerships, drives systems and technology improvements, plans capacity, and streamlines internal processes—freeing the team to focus on delivering exceptional results for our clients.

Billi Prugh

Since 2010, Billi Prugh has been the backbone of Staffing Advisors’ research operations, bringing precision, speed, and consistency to every stage of candidate outreach. As our in-house database expert, she maintains the integrity of our systems, keeping all applicant and sourcing data accurate and up to date. Billi ensures targeted outreach is delivered quickly and reliably, serving as the final check on communications before they are sent. Her ongoing refinement of outreach systems—testing and comparing tools to ensure messages reach inboxes and meet technical standards—helps build diverse, custom-tailored candidate pools for every client.

Jennifer Wharton

Sr. Manager, Search Operations

A member of our operations team for more than 15 years, Jennifer Wharton is the essential admin support behind every Staffing Advisors search, ensuring that clients experience a seamless, high-touch process from kickoff to offer acceptance. She handles everything from posting roles and preparing custom online portals where clients can easily access all candidate materials to coordinating interviews and conducting reference checks. For candidates, she manages status updates so that every applicant knows where they stand in the selection process.

Jennifer also works closely with our firm’s president to craft the tailored decision-support materials that underpin our Results-Based Hiring® process. Drawing on input from both clients and the internal team, she synthesizes multiple perspectives to create search briefings, supplemental questions, and interview frameworks that support consistent and competency-driven candidate evaluation.
